In an interview with RIA Novosti, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said Yerevan has irrefutable evidence showing that Turkey is sending Syrian and Libyan militants to Nagorno-Karabakh.
“There is irrefutable evidence of the presence of foreign terrorist militants of Syria and Libya and the fact that Turkey continues to send them [to Nagorno-Karabakh-ed.]. This is also confirmed by the intelligence data of the co-chairing countries of the OSCE Minsk Group and the reports received from the main conflict zone,” he said.
“Turkey views this conflict as an opportunity to project its influence on another neighboring region, that is, the South Caucasus. It is necessary to resist, not encourage such a policy of taking advantage of the conflict and inflicting tremendous human suffering on the peoples of the region,” Mnatsakanyan said in response to a question whether Yerevan will agree to Turkey’s involvement in the negotiations.
