Karabakh President wrote letter to Russia’s Putin

Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan sent a letter to Russian Federation (RF) President Vladimir Putin. Tigran Petrosyan, Chairman of the Anti-Crisis Council of Artsakh, informed about this on Facebook—but without publicizing the contents of this letter.

Petrosyan wrote as follows, in particular: “The absolute majority of the people of Artsakh believed not the head of the RA [(Republic of Armenia)], not the head of Artsakh, but RF President Putin’s words that Armenians will live safely and dignified in Artsakh.

“The [Artsakh] authorities have sent a letter to Putin, in which the dire situation of the country and the people is presented.

“I believe that if we don’t see clear steps from the RF side in the near future, silence will be tantamount to destruction.”
