Returning to the actual publication. The four-day war: Appeal of the Parliament of Western Armenia to the Parliaments of the Member States of the UN Security Council. (In connection with the aggression of Azerbaijan against the Republic of Artsakh)

Returning to the actual publication. The four-day war:

The National Assembly (Parliament) of Western Armenia sharply condemns the unprecedentedly aggressive and irresponsible decision of Azerbaijan and its instigators to launch large-scale military operations against the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic), which led to a sharp aggravation of the situation along the entire line of contact with Artsakh and on the border with the Republic of Armenia, and which grew into a direct military clash, with the use of armored vehicles, aircraft and artillery. There are numerous killed and wounded among the civilian population of Artsakh, including women and children.

The instigators of the Middle East confrontation and the leaders of Turkey, in order to avoid an inevitable payment for their deeds, seek to transfer responsibility from themselves and Turkey, to the border with Armenia and Artsakh, through the criminal aggression of Azerbaijan. Thus, they are trying to divert the attention of the world community from their real goals and criminal programs in the Middle East, and to save Turkey and its instigators from inevitable responsibility.

We urge the international community, in particular the countries involved in the conflict settlement process, to take effective steps to end aggression and force Azerbaijan to peace.

Further escalation of the conflict may lead to unpredictable consequences for both the Azerbaijani and Turkish sides.

Everything will end where it began, in it will end also in Western Armenia – by the approval of the Republic of Western Armenia.

Armen Ter-Sarkisyan

President of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Western Armenia
