The National Assembly of Armenia, at its session Thursday, did not pass the proposed law—tabled by the opposition “Armenia” Faction—on criminalizing the Armenian Genocide’s denial in the country.
The bill was about making respective amendments to the Criminal Code of Armenia.
Fifty-eight MPs from the ruling majority “Civil Contract” Faction voted against this draft law, and two others abstained.
